INNERFACE is committed to providing environmentally responsible products and services. From material recycling to our manufacturing processes, we work to reduce waste and pollution and maximize the use of recyclable materials.

Manufacturing

INNERFACE ensure compiance with all EPA and OSHA regulations and guidelines regarding air quality.

Air Quality

Use of HVLP paint spray equipment:
1. Reduces emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) used as solvents in paints that are associated with formation of smog and are typically regulated by federal and state agencies as well as local air pollution control districts
2. Reduces emissions of hazardous air pollutants (HAPs) used as solvents in paints that are most typically associated with increased cancer risk and which are regulated under federal, state and local regulations including the National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) program (40 CFR 63)
3. Reduces hazardous materials usage as required of federal facilities by Executive Order (EO) 13148, Greening the Government Through Leadership in Environmental Management.
4. Reduces emissions of substances that may result in reduced reporting requirements under the toxic release inventory (TRI), Tier I/Tier II, and other SARA Title III reporting requirements (40 CFR 300, 355, 370, and 372) as well as EO 13148
5. Reduces some occupational exposures that are regulated under 29 CFR 1910.120.
We also employ a filtered exhaust system to further reduce emmisions.

Annual reporting lists all hazardous material removed from our facility and sent to proper authorities

Recycling

INNERFACE has active recycling programs for aluminum, styrene and acrylic.

Signage Products

Since 1971, INNERFACE has been a pioneer in changeable signage. Our patented insert key removal system was an industry first and has been critical to our success at providing clients with interior signage systems that are easy to maintain. By focusing on a modular changeable system, we are helping clients to reduce waste. We also work to ensure that the materials we use are environmentally friendly.

Our signature and accent series interior products are made using acrylic and styrene components that are fully recyclable. Our styrene is 100% post-consumer recycled material and our 3M VHB tape that is compliant with EU directive 2002/95/EC

Our Convex plus system is made from 100% recyclable extruded aluminum.

Our exterior signage products are manufactured mostly from recyclable aluminum and steel.

All of our products contain a percentage of recycled material.
