Located in Atlanta, GA, Grady Hospital is one of the largest public hospitals in the US and the only Level 1 trauma center in the Atlanta Metro area.  With a downtown location and large volume of patients and visitors, Grady serves a diverse population.

INNERFACE is working with Grady to create a long-term signage and wayfinding plan through creation of new signage standards.  These new standards will be phased in over time as areas of the facility are updated/renovated and departments are moved.

In cooperation with the SEGD and Hablamos Juntos, INNERFACE participated in an assessment of the effectiveness of using new international symbols to assist with wayfinding.  Several test groups were asked to find destinations with paths marked using the new symbols.  INNERFACE donated both design time and signage materials to the project.  For more information on the new symbols and other test facilities across the country, please visit:
